Truth:
Weatherstar’s EP, Out In The Rain, is now available for purchase on iTunes.

Weatherstar’sย three-song EP leaves little room for error. With the opening track, “Breaking My Heart,” Weatherstar takes a risk by adding rapper Mason (Doghouse Records) to the already poppy song. While not my favorite Weatherstar song, it wasn’t a bad song altogether. The chorus is undeniably catchy and the beat is sure to get stuck in your head.
I remember hearing “Keep Me Alive” live a couple of weeks ago, but without all the fancy beats (it was a semi-acoustic performance), and hearing the studio version makes me appreciate the song tha much more. The infectious “oh-oh-oh’s” and beat make the song a must listen on the EP. I like the hint of laid back reggae mixed with its pop influences.
FInally is the title track, “Out In the Rain.” This song is more acoustic than the previous two, in “true” Weatherstar fashion (think “Postcards” meets “Crystal Ball). The song serves as an appropriate close to the well-written and well-produced EP.
So EKG just posted their ballin’ new demo “Temp Drop” on their Facebook page. The electropop track highlights the bands ability to marry hiphop/rap with pop, rock, and electronica. The addicting song will get you singing along by the second chorus.
