Song of the Day: The Ready Set “Give Me Your Hand (Best Song Ever)”

The Ready Set just dropped the best song ever. No, really, it’s called “Give Me Your Hand (Best Song Ever).” If this song doesn’t get you moving, you should see a doctor.

Family Force 5 Releases “III.V”

Truth:

Family Force 5 follows up their album III, with the III.V EP. The EP has two new tracks, as well as three acoustic remixes of previously released songs. The album can  be purchased through their merch store and through digital outlets.

Sarah:

III.V is an extension of III (released October 2011), and it is certainly heard in the first two tracks. The new songs, “Zombie” and “Cray Button,” are more examples of why FF5 owns the crunk rock market. Not only is it an extension of their wildly popular album, but it’s an extension of their success this year. Their single, “Can You Feel It” was featured in the trailer for the movie, “Battleship” (starring Liam Neeson and Rihanna); they released their music video for “Wobble” (currently at over 95,000 views); and they’re fresh off their successful Rise Up tour.

While “Zombie” is set to be the single of the EP, the standout tracks are “Cray Button” and “Superhero (acoustic remix).” “Cray Button is a dubstep mix with fun lyrics and a dance-y beat.

I will show you crazy, I’m a maniac
No more final warning, I’m not holding back
I ain’t going nowhere, let the roof cave in
Time to blow up something, here goes nothing
Watch me hit the cray button

Cray (x3)

Let’s get cray
Turn it all the way up
Got a double dose of bass
You’ll love this so much
Get out of your head
Get out of your skull
If you ain’t gettin’ cray
Then you ain’t got a pulse
A lunatic, a time bomb just got dropped
I get cray all day, it’s my full time job
Wild like a wolfpack, howlin’ at the moon
Attack, attack, you got bitten by the boom

I ain’t going nowhere, let the roof cave in
Time to blow up something, here goes nothing
Watch me hit the cray button

Cray (x3)

Put your fives in the sky if you’re feelin’ alive
Throw ten in the air ’cause you don’t care
Cray Bans on, rock your cranium
3-2-1, detonation

I wonder what happens when I hit the cray button?
I guarantee the whole place starts jumpin’

Imma do it!
Watch me hit the cray button
I hit the cray button

I pledge allegiance to the U.S.Cray

“Superhero” was given an acoustic makeover on the EP. Soul Glow Activatur’s (Solomon Olds) voice is pure with a hint of his signature raspiness. The acoustic version brings out the meaning in the lyrics more.

The EP also features acoustic remixes of “Kountry Gentlemen” (Business Up Front/Party in the Back) and “Fever” (Dance or Die).

Make sure to pick up the album on iTunes or order a physical copy here.
